Giclée print of original oil on canvas painting. The Persian Lilac is not a tree that I planted. I have two in my garden, both the product of seeds falling to the earth and taking root. They grow very fast and sport a hard, small round sepia colored fruit, that has no taste you would want to taste. But parrots enjoy chewing the seed. One day while painting in my studio, I heard chatter from the garden. Looking out I saw twelve green parrots chowing down on my tree. A lovely site to behold. One of the beauties of the tree is its tiny purple, lavender flowers which for a month give off an enchanting and sweet fragrance.
