Floating Above the Flood original

The waters will cover all that we have created.

Skies are home to passing birds,
clouds of all shapes and possibilities.
Skies welcome and introduce the red of dawn the coming of a new day,
and a myriad of colors whilst dusk settles in.
The earth has experienced many floods, 
some great some small.
Man had built cities, some momentous
with buildings tall.
But they too like Nimrod’s tower inevitably fall.
But when the rains come, 
and they will,
the waters will cover all that we have created,
and mysterious islands will appear in the sky
