Floating City original

Into the jungle of my imagination the airplane became a floating island.

Driving south on Highway six, the hills on both sides of the road came to an end. The world before me became a wide open valley, bright blue sky above, punctuated by white clouds, and a large lone aircraft, slowly descending on its approach to landing. For a moment my mind traveled, not on an airplane to some foreign destination, but in my mind, into the jungle of my imagination. The airplane became a floating island, replete with towers, bridges, waterfalls, domes, arches and trees. My joy is to take the images I imagine and try to recreate them somewhat, on the canvas. Voila, a Floating City.
