Hell original

Where light exists, there is shadow. Beauty walks arm in arm with the beast. Burning lava tears its way down the side of a mountain, sizzling as it reaches the shore, creating islands and torture in its wake. If there is a heaven then chance is, there just may be a hell.

One early evening, when I was working on this painting, I become aware of my six-year old son standing next to me, and watching me produce the ghastly characters in the work. He put his arms around me and give me a kiss.

All was well, as dad painted Hell.
