Painting during a time of war. While rockets pass over my home and head, and the explosions of anti-missile systems are heard in the distance accompanied by a cacophony of sirens and dogs barking, I seek escape by painting.
My latest work entitled "Humus Lila" Night Humus is a humorous and imaginative take on wild Tel Aviv at night.
A beach town at heart, it is not uncommon to see a woman dressed in only a bikini and sarong walking down the street with a friend, a rifle slung over her shoulder.
Israel is a country at war, and Tel Aviv has long learned to continue enjoying the wonders of life, whether it be in the many cafes and clubs or some tasty humus lila.
