The Dock #3 (Hotel Utopia Series) original

The forest becomes an island.
A metallic gray sky comes into view, carving out  
a reflection of its being,
announcing the coming sunset,
and the call to return home.

We continued to pull away from the island,
the chair slowly fading in the increasing dusk.
I found myself watching and taking in the changes in the color of the sky,
and the loss of details in the forest
as well as the mood as the night was approaching.
